Artist's Comments

Some of you might remember this tutorial from a while back. Well I just took it and added some things here and there to make it more suitable for the New DA.

This tutorial is for making a lightsaber with Adobe Photoshop.

Enjoy ^^

This is the best saber tut I've found. I've used it for all of my Star Wars pics. Thanks a bunch for making. ^____^

This looks really good! Awesome tutorial! I like to use the gaussian blur alot, so it might turn out differently the way I try it, but this tutorial is still very well done. Kudos my man! :w00t!:

I'm semi-new to the Adobephotoshop, but this toturial is perfect to make any object glow.

Fun, I tried it, it works. I don't think my Linear light brush application worked the same way...oh well. I'll mess with it a little and see if I get anything different.

Excellent job. White as the middle color no matter what...I always just used a very light variation of what color I originally wanted. *shrug*

I am so faving this.

Hm... Nice tutorial. Very easy to understand.

Do you think it will work with Jasc Paintshop Pro?

This is perfect to follow! The fact that I could never do a "proper" Lightsaber was the sole reason I've never done any Star Wars art before.
You've just made my day!

i have an interesting concept inspired by Tenchi Muyo you should make use of:

i think a TRULY EVIL blade is black with RED aura, or black beam with a colored glow rather than white,
THIS would really add an element of ultimate contrast between the light and darkness!! XDDDD
