I've heard a lot of women say that Chivalry is dead, and you know what? For the most part it's true. There are too many sorry excuses for men who think of women as an object with breasts and an ass. Too many guys who don't show any respect to women, and frankly, the thought of those "men" make me sick to my stomach.
Hey dude, when was the last time you held the door open for your girlfriend or even a woman in general? When was the last time you said something nice about the way she looks, or complimented her on something she's done? When was the last time you got her flowers for no reason? When was the last time you paid for her for anything, be it a meal, a gift, a movie ticket, or even something as little as a fare in the subway? Little things like those matter, guys. You may not think it, but stuff like that does make them feel good, and you'll be better off in the long run if you keep things like these in mind!
Let's face it guys, we wouldn't be anywhere without them.
And for all those guys who constantly refer to women as "bitches", you guys need to cut that crap out. Refering to women as "bitches" just shows how little you respect them. That crap is getting old, it's not only offensive to them, it's offensive to a lot of other people too...
Face it guys, if you think that women aren't important, we wouldnt be chasing after them with our friggin tongues hanging out. They complete the second half of the circle guys, and the sooner we all realize that, we're gonna end up being a lot happier.
So to all the ladies out there, and to those of you who are reading this note, remember that Chivalry isn't dead. Not yet at least. There are a few of us still out there that believe in honoring a woman for all that shes worth, which is countless times more than we're worth. Remember that there are guys out there that will treat you like you're their world, and that will do their best to try to make you feel like you're a queen. Remember that there are those of us who know how important a woman is, because if women weren't important, God would not have created her. Know that there are those of us who recognize your unfathomable beauty. And know that if you'll let us, we will love you till death and beyond oblivion.
Remember that we're out there, and that we're trying to keep Chivalry alive.
P.S. After many excellent points made by fellow Deviants, there ARE some exceptions to my theory.
When a woman does not deserve to be treated like a goddess, she should not be treated as such. There are plenty of women who do not deserve to be treated with respect, because they do not give such respect to others. However, I do believe that those who deserve to be treated as such should be treated as such.
At the same time, guys, if the woman does not want you to open doors, buy them things, then dont believe that you must do so regardless of what she says. Part of respecting a woman is complying with her wishes, and doing things that will make her feel comfortable. If she doesnt WANT to have you holding doors for her, then dont.
Remember fellas, this is all about respecting a woman. You do what you need to do to make your girlfriend or wife feel like a goddess. Because thats what she is.
